The Systems Administrator designation is designed to provide a certification of Operating System installation, configuration, administration, and basic support skills for customer IT staff and ISV partners.

The competencies and knowledge provided in the courseware and tested in the exams include: Operating System architecture, OS integration with platform-network-storage components, OS optimization, upgrades, and management, networking fundamentals, and basic OS administration and support.
