The main offering is called "STANDARD" and provides customers with 400+ software layered products for OpenVMS VAX, OpenVMS Alpha, and Tru64 UNIX. Pricing is organised into 3 Tiers of systems i.e. Workgroup, Department and Enterprise. The offer consists of the following components:

» Initial Software License (ISL)
» Software Update License (UPD)
» Upgrade Licence (UPG)
» Software Update Subscription License (SL)
» CD-ROM Distribution Service (CDDS)

Initial Software License (ISL)

This license provides 400+ software products on one single license. The license is valid for the "Licensed processor lifetime". There is a one time only charge and the customer requires one license per system in the HPCSP domain.

Software Update License (UPD)

The HPCSP program will provide a new Update License for customers who do not wish to subscribe to the SSL service but may require a new hp campus Software Programs update from time to time. The update provides the customer with the same terms as the (ISL).

Upgrade Licence (UPG)

This offering provides the customer with a license upgrade to another system (higher) tier. The customer must have a current HPCSP Initial Software License.

Software Update Subscription License (SL)

The purpose of the HPCSP SL is to keep all Software Products at the latest available version, and also to provide the Institution with the required licenses to use the updated versions. Under SL, the Right to Use New Versions (RTNV) of the HPCSP Software Product Portfolio is granted annually to the subscribing systems of the Program.

CD-ROM Distribution Service (CDDS)

The CDDS Service provides the Institution quarterly with a set of CD-ROMs containing the binaries, the documentation, the Product Authorisation Keys (PAKs) and the software product installation information to access the granted HPCSP Software Products.
