In the October 2005 article, HP's VTL sticks to the basics, the reviewer describes his experiences with the HP StorageWorks VLS6105 inlcuding the system's management GUI, Command View and using Data Protector to run backups. He reports that creating a new virtual library with Command View "is a breeze" and that the VLS6105 "offers enough capacity and performance to meet your need for speed at a reasonable price" and is "an excellent choice."

InfoWorld calls the HP StorageWorks DAT 72 USB Tape Drive the "No Headache Tape Backup". The recent Web article goes on to say that the DAT 72 is "perfect for small and SOHO-style businesses" - and that it's so easy to use "any helpdesk guy. . . should have no problem walking even the slowest end-user through installation and setting up automated backups."
